Chuck M. Eastman -  Professor.  College of Architecture and College of Computing  .
(Director of the COA Ph.D. Program): research interests include building product models, geometric modeling, design databases, use of CAD/CAM in the building industry, and development of electronic design environments; he is currently involved at the implementation level in developing parametric modeling systems for sectors of the construction industry, and in developing building product models for integrating and exchanging design and construction data; he is also involved at the research level developing new methods for integrating applications and in methods for embedding design expertise in parametric modeling systems.

Janet L. Kolodner -  Professor. College of Computing
Director of the EduTech Institute, and Editor in Chief of The Journal of the Learning Sciences; work investigates issues in learning, memory, and problem solving; directs research in cognitive models and research in education, with strong emphasis in design education; pioneered the reasoning method called case-based reasoning.
